The Issues
Our research reveals the issues most important to the majority of voters in Arkansas are Abortion, Common Core, the Private Option, gun control and the new gas tax proposal. Here is how Jim A. Hall feels about these issues:
ABORTION: 100% Pro-Life. "Any judge, lawyer, or politician who compromises God's directive to always choose life every time, cannot and should not consider him or herself a Christian or Christ-like." - Bishop Robert E. Smith, Sr. in The Theology of Politics.
A Christian CANNOT vote for a candidate that supports the murder of our unborn, dissecting them and selling their body parts for PROFIT! My opponent has sworn a loyalty oath to the Democrat Party Platform and not the voters of District 9. A vote for my Democrat opponent is a vote for Planned Parenthood and the selling of the body parts of babies We appreciate the

COMMON CORE: I will vote to repeal Common Core in its entirety. "Arkansas Against Common Core is a single issue education advocacy group. Our sole purpose is to have the adoption of the Common Core Standards reversed. We focus our efforts on bringing together concerned people from all points of the political spectrum in order to effect legislation resulting in the reversal of its adoption. There is so much to dislike about the common core initiative. For some, the idea of violating states’ rights is important. To others, they oppose it strictly from a quality perspective. A majority oppose it because it stifles curriculum development and teacher/school autonomy in choosing what is best for their students. Still other fiscally concerned citizens reject it for its massive spending requirements. Ending common core and the related tests are our goal. We seek this goal to retain local control and oppose a top-down centralization of education." Join the movement at http://www.arkansasagainstcommoncore.com

ENERGY ISSUES: Protecting the energy Advanced energy technologies create jobs, businesses and investments while increasing energy efficiency and energy independence. AAEA members are identifying policies that expand the Arkansas economy and ensure that our companies remain competitive in the global economy by saving energy costs.
In August 2016 we attended the AAEA/AEO Candidate Energy Workshop. This will better qualify Jim A. Hall for the state legislature. Sadly, our opponent did not attend. Even worse, very few candidates attended and we were the only conservative present. Protecting our Arkansas energy industries is very important to us. I will fight to keep our energy costs low while protecting both the energy industries and consumers. GENDER NEUTRAL BATHROOMS:Jim A. Hall agrees with the statement of Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge as to the Gender Neutral Bathroom issue.
Rutledge Statement on President Obama’s Public School Bathroom Directive
May 13, 2016 LITTLE ROCK – Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge released a statement today in response to the Obama Administration’s directive on school bathroom access. “The President is taking his abuse of power to a new level today by forcing a liberal social agenda on school-age children,” said Attorney General Rutledge. “This radical and outrageous policy drastically expands the federal government’s role in our local schools and raises serious safety concerns for students and parents. Threatening local districts with a loss of funding unless they comply with this non-binding ‘guidance’ is potentially disruptive to the entire education process and lacks all common sense. These bullying and blackmail tactics are unlawful and unconscionable. “I stand with Governor Hutchinson in urging local districts to disregard this latest attempt from the administration to force a social agenda on the states. I will also work with my colleagues across the country to determine if legal action against this directive is necessary in order to keep our students safe.” http://www.arkansasag.gov Jim A. FUEL TAX INCREASE:Arkansas motorists already pay the highest gas and diesel taxes of any state that we share a border with, yet some legislators want to raise it by 8 more cents per gallon!
Once you factor in the federal gas tax (18.5 cents per gallon), Arkansans already pay an effective gas tax rate of 20%. I will never vote to raise taxes on anything, especially something as necessary to our survival as fuel. We must find alternative means to cut cost and the size of government to build our infrastructure. A proposal is to add a "fee" on the titles of each new and/or used vehicle purchased. That is a new tax that I will never support! How High Are Gas Taxes in Your State? How High Are Gas Taxes in Your State?"Most Conservative in Arkansas" - Jim A. Hall has been determined by AsaPac as the "Most Conservative candidate in Arkansas" - April 18, 2016 - Marie Holder, AsaPac
AsaPac will only be endorsing candidates who support Obamacare's Medicaid Expansion. We were told by AsaPac registered agent, Marie Holder, that Jim A. Hall is "the most conservative candidate in Arkansas." We take that as an endorsement of our Christian Conservative values! Though we are sure it was not intended as a compliment. Thus we will not be getting any funding from AsaPac. Seems they only fund RINOs. Conservative candidates need all the help they can get this election season. Please consider donating to a conservative candidate. Vet them well and if they support any Medicaid Expansion, they are not a conservative. You may help Jim A. Hall at http://hall4house9.weebly.com OBAMACAREObamacare must be repealed. I will never vote to fund Obamacare. I will support legislation that returns market mechanisms to the healthcare market.
We must stop ObamaCare before it's too late! |
GUN CONTROL:I will be a champion of our 2nd Amendment rights. I will oppose any attempts to ban guns, ban ammunition, or to restrict our Constitutional rights to gun ownership. In Arkansas, our Constitution makes it clear we have Constitutional Carry. That clearly means that Act 746 was unnecessary and that the current Concealed Carry law is unconstitutional. We do not need a permit to enjoy a constitutional right and privilege!
Jim A. Hall is a member of the Gun Owners of America and the National Rifle Association. The Democrats have made it clear they wish to restrict and eventually ban all firearms. We need a Pro 2nd Amendment representative in the state Capitol. |
The Fifth Amendment: Protecting Human Life
The Constitution’s guarantee that no one can “be deprived of life, liberty or property” deliberately echoes the Declaration of Independence’s proclamation that “all” are “endowed by their Creator” with the inalienable right to life. Accordingly, we assert the sanctity of human life and affirm that the unborn child has a fundamental right to life which cannot be infringed. We support a human life amendment to the Constitution and legislation to make clear that the Fourteenth Amendment’s protections apply to children before birth.
We oppose the use of public funds to perform or promote abortion or to fund organizations, like Planned Parenthood, so long as they provide or refer for elective abortions or sell fetal body parts rather than provide healthcare. We urge all states and Congress to make it a crime to acquire, transfer, or sell fetal tissues from elective abortions for research, and we call on Congress to enact a ban on any sale of fetal body parts. In the meantime, we call on Congress to ban the practice of misleading women on so-called fetal harvesting consent forms, a fact revealed by a 2015 investigation. We will not fund or subsidize healthcare that includes abortion coverage.
We support the appointment of judges who respect traditional family values and the sanctity of innocent human life. We oppose the non-consensual withholding or withdrawal of care or treatment, 14 including food and water, from individuals with disabilities, newborns, the elderly, or the infirm, just as we oppose euthanasia and assisted suicide.
We affirm our moral obligation to assist, rather than penalize, women who face an unplanned pregnancy. In order to encourage women who face an unplanned pregnancy to choose life, we support legislation that requires financial responsibility for the child be equally borne by both the mother and father upon conception until the child reaches adulthood. Failure to require a father to be equally responsible for a child places an inequitable burden on the mother, creating a financial and social hardship on both mother and child. We celebrate the millions of Americans who open their hearts, homes, and churches to mothers in need and women fleeing abuse. We thank and encourage providers of counseling, medical services, and adoption assistance for empowering women experiencing an unintended pregnancy to choose life. We support funding for ultrasounds and adoption assistance. We salute the many states that now protect women and girls through laws requiring informed consent, parental consent, waiting periods, and clinic regulation. We condemn the Supreme Court’s activist decision in Whole Woman’s Health v. Hellerstedt striking down commonsense Texas laws providing for basic health and safety standards in abortion clinics
We applaud the U.S. House of Representatives for leading the effort to add enforcement to the Born-Alive Infant Protection Act by passing the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which imposes appropriate civil and criminal penalties on healthcare providers who fail to provide treatment and care to an infant who survives an abortion, including early induction delivery whether the death of the infant is intended. We strongly oppose infanticide. Over a dozen states have passed PainCapable Unborn Child Protection Acts prohibiting abortion after twenty weeks, the point at which current medical research shows that unborn babies can feel excruciating pain during abortions, and we call on Congress to enact the federal version. Not only is it good legislation, but it enjoys the support of a majority of the American people. We support state and federal efforts against the cruelest forms of abortion, especially dismemberment abortion procedures, in which unborn babies are literally torn apart limb from limb.
We call on Congress to ban sex-selection abortions and abortions based on disabilities — discrimination in its most lethal form. We oppose embryonic stem cell research. We oppose federal funding of embryonic stem cell research. We support adult stem cell research and urge the restoration of the national placental stem cell bank created by President George H.W. Bush but abolished by his Democrat successor, President Bill Clinton. We oppose federal funding for harvesting embryos and call for a ban on human cloning.
The Democratic Party is extreme on abortion. Democrats’ almost limitless support for abortion, and their strident opposition to even the most basic restrictions on abortion, put them dramatically out of step with the American people. Because of their opposition to simple abortion clinic safety procedures, support for taxpayer-funded abortion, and rejection of pregnancy resource centers that provide abortion alternatives, the old Clinton mantra of “safe, legal, and rare” has been reduced to just “legal.” We are proud to be the party that protects human life and offers real solutions for women.
